About Us

Marcia Donofrio RPT., BS., MA

Marcia established Mansfield Physical Therapy in 1977 and has been a native of Northeast Connecticut for her entire life. She has practiced physical therapy for over thirty five years and is a graduate of the University of Connecticut in Physical Therapy, with a Master’s Degree in Psychology. Marcia has had extensive experience and training in manual therapy and orients her treatments towards looking at the whole body and its’ relationship to presenting symptoms. Among her many studies over the years, she has received specialized and advanced training in Myofascial Release and Cranio-Sacral Therapy and in addition to acute pain injuries, has worked extensively with treating fibromyalgia and chronic pain syndromes. In the last fifteen years Marcia has also incorporated many alternative approaches from the developing field of mind/body medicine. In her personal life, Marcia is passionate about beauty in all forms, family, flowers, dance, music, and in the last five years has become a budding artist. As a mother of three, nearly grown, daughters and a businesswoman, she understands the commitments and challenges of a full life, and brings her life learning’s and understandings to her work. She continues to marvel at the diversity and pleasure of life and to give her very best to her profession of science and healing arts.

Denise Bernard, PT, CSCS

Denise graduated from the University of Connecticut in 1998 with a degree in Physical Therapy. That same year she also became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Since graduation she has worked in various outpatient hospital settings and private practices in MA and CT specializing in orthopedics and sports medicine. Her treatment philosophy is to utilize different manual and soft tissue techniques coupled with functional based rehab and training that is focused to address each individual’s unique needs and goals. Personally she had played many different sports, trained at the US Olympic Center in Colorado for racquetball and continues to stay active and enjoy her time with her dog Flash, an Akita. She also feels that she can bring a unique perspective to therapy as she has had a number of hip surgeries due to sport injury and resulting problems, so has experienced both sides of physical therapy. She feels we are all athletes in our own way no matter what age, so let’s get and stay well together.

Olga Rozman, PT

Olga graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2008 with a master’s degree in physical therapy.  She has worked in several outpatient and inpatient settings with a continuum of ages from 3 to 103 (yes!)  She brings a strong base of manual therapy to Mansfield Physical Therapy for joint and spine dysfunction including the Maitland, Mulligan, and Kalterborn approaches.  As well, in alignment with the philosophy of Mansfield Physical Therapy, she adds her strength of myofascial release, muscle energy techniques, and neural tension techniques to reduce pain and restore soft tissue integrity.  In 2012, Olga continued her depth of expertise by obtaining certification in Craniosacral therapy.  She is well versed in her treatment approaches and brings many tools to assist patients with their acute and chronic pain and resulting functional limitations.
In addition to her physical therapy training, Olga has also had a keen interest in balance training and has had a passion in pursuing certification as a tai chi and Chi Qong instructor for beginners and the elderly.  As a Mansfield resident and on a personal note, she adds “in my spare time you can see me on rails and trails, biking or walking with my dog.”
